This parking lot needed to GO. This will connect some sparse parts of Belltown.

Oh wow, the City changed the law so that those huge, awful parking podiums above ground are no longer required or allowed? If so, that's lovely news. When did that happen?

I don't remember the details. But vaguely recollect that the maximum is now three levels above-grade. This was related to either the new highrise rules or the reduced parking requirement legislation. Maybe two or three years ago.

Well that's great news. I can't wait to see the difference it makes in the architecture of new buildings.

I walked by the site this morning. No equipment on site, but there were no parking signs on the south and east sides of the site and an Exxel Pacific storage trailer on the vacant lot south of the site.

There was heavy machinery digging in the parking lot today.

Any new renderings of this project? Surely they've updated the design from the ugly original one from 5-6 years ago right?

On topic: with all of these new developments in Denny and Belltown...how about adding a mid-point stop for the monofail?

Hasn't changed much. That podium is still ugly.

It's... something at least.

Don't stand under that building in high winds, a large tree branch to the head can't be healthy.

I like it. Wish it was taller of course but I do like it. I think the podium is cool.

I love it! It's so Vancouver and glassy, which are some of my favorite styles. I've always wanted Belltown to be more like Yaletown.

Article says "The 188 units will include studios, three-bedrooms and penthouses. Its scheduled to open in the fall of 2013."

No 1-bedroom units?!?
