Nice pics thanks. Kind of wish there was a new narrow profile monorail in front of it rather than the clunky old one.

Exploring Sydney on Google Earth, I was surprised to see how similar its downtown monorail was to Seattle's. Very similarly clunky and grimey. Waterfront viaduct, too. Well, doesn't make it look any better, but does put things in perspective.

Sydney's is more of a circulator, with much smaller supports. I almost didn't notice it when I was there.

I still get a chuckle at tourists asking whether they're at the westlake stop on the Seattle Line. "Well... there's only 2 stops..."

Well I was on Google Earth, hehehe. The stations are neat-o, though. They're cylindrical. I heard they'll be tearing the whole thing down though. Kind of sad I guess.

I saw, too, that the cladding/glass enclosure has started. Doesn't look to bad, but early in the process.

Thank you Jesus for the density. Hallelujah. Sing it from the mountain, sister.

Another Square Box...oh wow...some blue glass and another gold vertical strip to distinguish it ever so subtly from Via 6 just to to give it a dash of architectural interest!!....Yawn
It's soo sad vulcan can't find better architects than this. |
