I agree. We must wait his construction to sit in judgment on his disagn.
But I think it will be not so horrible.

I am not a fan of this tower so I wouldn't regret.
It would look better if they put the 4 'points' at the corners into the middle with the slopes outward.
It would create a bank of America like roof, looking different from avery angle.

People seems to dislike this tower.

Metropolitan rendering show how easy it is to enhance such a poor design. He should have been hired instead of the architectcs!

I think the most important point about this building is the fact that it may probably be the tallest green skyscraper in the world. Many had complained about the top, but I believe it should be mentioned again that the sharp mast on the top houses the wind turbines which generate additional electricity, and that is the most efficient place to have the generators put.

This is a nice step towards environmental sustainability - a key issue as humans step into the "Age of Global Warming" lol

The design is very interesting.

But it's gonna be the jewel of La Defense....

It's 318 m to the highest spire, and ca. 220m to the main roof, look here:http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=56431

The spire is kind of the best part of this tower actually.

Wrong.
300m (tip of the spire) above the boulevard. (337,5 NGF)

Any news about this project? The newspaper "Métro" wrote about how most projects at La Défense will be postponed, maybe even cancelled.

This project got his money stored so there is no problem about it.

Demolition of the current lowrise is expected early 2009 .

This tower is indeed very green. Basing on the night renderings, its green brightness will allow the western half of the city to switch off the light.
