Hopefully they will start the Eton Center soon (400m, 300m, 250m~). It will be located at the monster plot on the left in this pic. You can see one of the remaining residential midrises (all of them uninhabited) at the bottom. Seeing the two monster projects next to each other rising at the same time would be amazing.

By the way, this project has been renamed as Forum 66.

http://www.hanglung.com/contents.asp?articleid=1938

Forum 66

Location: Qingnian Da Jie, Shenhe District, Shenyang
Main Usage: Commercial, office, hotel and serviced apartments

Total Gross Floor Area : 842,400 sq.m.
Shopping mall: 81,000 sq.m.
Office: 663,400 sq.m.
Hotel: 65,500 sq.m.
Serviced apartments: 32,500 sq.m.

Design Architect: Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, USA

Project Descriptions:

* The State-owned Land Use Right Grant Contract was signed with The Bureau of Planning and Land Resources, Shenyang in August 2006.

* Forum 66 is located at Qingnian Da Jie, and is part of the national "Shenyang Finance & Trade Development Zone".

* It sits on the south side of the City Plaza, which is the landmark in Shenyang and was named one of the "Best National Cultural Plaza" by the Ministry of Culture in 2006.

* To its east is the Liaoning Grand Theatre and the Museum of Liaoning Province. To its west is the Municipal Government Building.

* Qingnian Da Jie, known as the "Golden Corridor", runs along the centre of Shenyang and forms a major part of the urban development strategy of the City. The Golden Corridor offers easy access to Shenyang Taoxian International Airport to the south and Beiling Park, which was endorsed as one of the country’s national parks by the Ministry of Construction, to the north.

* No. 2 metro line, now under construction, will run along The Golden Corridor with subway stations at the City Plaza and Qingnian Da Jie, offering direct access to Forum 66.

* The mixed development comprises a world-class shopping mall, Grade A office towers, hotel and serviced apartments. Its twin office towers rising above 350m will become the tallest office buildings in the northeast.

* Construction was commenced in April 2007. Superstructure work is in progress.

Awards:

* The Project was awarded Gold Level – Precertificate under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) – Core and Shell Development, issued by U.S. Green Building Council in 2008.
