People got back buildings, land or state issued bonds depending from the circumstances in each case.
yes there was nationalisation, but it was not that wide spread. my grandparents didnīt loose much land. but in Bulgaria as i was heared no one had right to own land. And in yugoslavio that was not case, that is why i am confused.

Of course Bulgarians owned land during communism. You are really not familiar with what the situation was in Bulgaria!

As far as I know- being too young to remember anything from this, and never asked for many details. Bulgarians could own the land of their homes the problem is, people only were permitted to have one home.. generally. It was the agricultural land who was nationalised as a whole, as well as the second, third and so on properties. At least thatīs what happened in my family.

Well you have to build your house somewhere on some land. It can't just float in air. At least not yet with today's technology.

And donīt be smartasses just try to explain.

Yet again you amaze me how sensitive you are, especially considering your style when posting.

It wasn't meant to be unfriendly, but just a simple remark trying to explain (in a jokingly way) what I thought was pretty clear.

Anyway I dont know the details, perhaps some of the Bulgarian forumers can explain this if they have the patience...

I am not sensitive, just i am trying to figure that out and u r not helping. And my style when posting may be a bit rough but only when i am making comments and not when answering questions.

Most Bulgarian families have villas apart from the their permanent homes and it's always been like this. I don't now where you got that "one home per family" restriction.

What are you talking about? Luxembourg has had a motorway bypass for a long time, I've driven all around it. It's not a ringroad, if that's what you meant, but the Skopje Bypass won't be either. Btw, are there any plans to make it a ringroad? There are some badass hills south of Skopje though.

No Point in making a ring road. Two main factors dictate this:
1. the terrain (especially mount Vodno)
2. the directions from which the main roads converge on Skopje

Skopje has a so called eastern bypass for a long time now, and with the northern bypass the issue of transit traffic will be closed.

For intra-city traffic Skopje has 3 Urban freeways planned, but unfortunately only one of them is something like half built and the other two aren't touched nor there are any plans in the near future for this.

edit: people actually call one of those urban freeways a southern bypass, but that's not the case.

Thanks. Yeah, Skopje doesn't really need a ringroad, the northern bypass will do it.
