AFAIK this is the current standard for 2x(2+1) freeways in Europe. Nothing revolutionary about the bypass. The only thing I might add about the width is that there are a lot of interchanges and near them it gets wider cause the emergency lane turns into an exit/entrance lane. So 11,75m instead of 10,75 in those places. Kondovo interchange will have 4 driving lanes before the split and this is probably also the case with Hipodrom interchange (and in the future Orizari interchange too)

3,75m is luxury in The Netherlands! Most lanes are only 3 - 3,5m wide! And we even have rushhour-lanes which are only 2m wide! Damn i don't drive on it, my mirrors almost hit the crash barrier then, and i still have a small car.

But National and Provincial roads have generally even more narrow lanes, 3m wide is an exception.

I have travelled in Croatia , Crna Gora , Macedonia and Serbia from the ex-yugo republics . What i have noticed is that in all of them the 1st, 2nd and 3rd class roads were with at least 0,5-1 m. narowwer than the same here in Bulgaria. Probably in yugoslavia they had different standarts for the width of the roads. Highways dimensions however are the same in ex-yugoslavia , and in Bulgaria. Croatia had the best roads out of all of those countries that i have traveled although it was a real challange to drive on those winding narrow ones on the Dalamcia coast.

Don't know why, our standards are quite different as Germany's for instance.

yeah I remember the "old" site it was pure crap... The new one is shitty as well but it has some info and pics at least...

I was watching the news on Kanal 5 yesterday about the bypass and the peasants... And I saw Natasa Valkanovska saying there will be no more screwing around with the project. And it got me thinking that Valkanovska is quite active lately, that she's doing a good job and that I should check their web site if there is anything new.... so I did it and voila

they also have some pics of roads/highways there as well, but they are way too old and uninteresting they seem as they are from end of 80s beggining of 90s...

Well don't know if there is such organization here called "ФОНД ЗА МАГИСТРАЛНИ И РЕГИОНАЛНИ ПАТИШТА НА РЕПУБЛИКА България" ...

I think in the "Bulgaria transportation and tourism" thread they posted you some links to bulgarian pages of the same info.

And i didn't put my previous post just to tease you or something. My reaction was about the web site design. Not the quality of it , but the fact that it is copied from another one. I never liked bad replicas of already existing sites. It is a common thing to see this in Bulgaria too.

impressive pics, Realek: well done job.

I noticed on your picture n°4 (map) the grass airstrip of Stenkovec (Blace road). It reminds me good times in SK: I'm maybe the only non Macedonian to have been granted a sportski- pilot license as a retranscription of the Belgian one: and I flew UTVA75 (Z3-DCD) with trainer Dumitar and got type rating !!!!!!!

So, seeing the airstrip on your pic made my hart accelerating

I love Macedonia and Macedonians .
