Its amazing how much these creaking boxes achieve. I believe Mumbai does have plans to introduce a better bus system to augment its underconstruction metro.

Are these busses at least air condutioned?

The heat and humidity in this town must be awful.

What is that newer-looking bus doing on the left?
I think that's photoshopped - there can't be buses like that in Bombay.

Who said there can't be? Mumbai is developing fast. By your reckoning there can't be a subway system in China then?

please don't use China as reference, Beijing's subway line 1 started running in 1960s.

Some people need to learn when a person is being sarcastic. I was using it as an example of someone slamming the third world for having something that looks vaguely modern as everyone knows that China is STILL 3rd world but it has some amazing developments and some amazing infrastructure. I KNOW that Beijing has an impressive subway system.

No. I took the picture and indeed that new bus is real, albeit a rare treat.

The topmost bus you posted is not in Mumbai, the script is from South India. The bottom two pictures are not Mumbai. The middle picture has writing in Nastaliq or something, which is not anywhere in Maharashtra, I think its in Delhi. The third picture IS in India but is in Hyderabad as you can see one of the four gateways to Old Hyderabad.

The top pic may be Mumbai. The second and third pictures could be anywhere in South Asia, from Pakistan to India to Bangladesh.

Thanks for the pathetic attempt at trolling.

I think the whole picture is shopped - they should be riding elephants and bullock carts, no?
