I actually don't think this tower is ugly. It now looks so old that it reminds me of a gothic cathedral. Maybe they should simply let it continue to weather. No joke!

I think that was one of the intentions... for it to be a modern / gothic dream in concrete. Its also shaped like a coffin in plan view, which I suppose is pretty 'goth' too!

I always have mixed feelings when it comes to renovations that completely change original design of a building. In my opinion the old design of this tower wasn't terrible at all, just opposite - it was special. The concrete facade should have been cleaned instead of recladed in average looking glass. Now the tower will only look fresh.

Is this building going to have a lighting scheme? looks like neon tubing running down each side of the steel strips. It probably isnt tho...
