Indeed the rounded one has more style!
Is there a reason give from the Jury? Or are these square looking buildings just cheaper to build?

What a shame. I really liked the one with the rounded corners.

well, I'm a little bit disappointed but I think if we didn't know the first design, we would like the other one much more, it's not too bad.

First design of that residential tower should have been Streamline Moderne revival.

The first design was much better, so i hope they will reconsider this decision. However, i'm afraid the ol tower will only be elegant from the point of view of the rendering itself. From the side it will look like a massive flat.

Henninger Turm, a 118m tall grain storage silo built between 1959 - 1961 will be replaced with a new residential tower. The old grain storage silo is a landmark in the district of Sachsenhausen, so architects tried to create a modern residential building with the shape of the old building. There will be a rotating restaurant on the top AND an also rotating penthouse, maybe the most desirable apartment in the city of Frankfurt

old building:

I like the idea of the rotating penthouse.

dunno, if someone has mentioned it: construction of alpha rotex (situated at the gateway gardens area), the tallest building at the airport, has started last month.

I Agree in terms of the apartment but imo the shape of the building is still so old-fashioned and ugly that it is disfiguring the skyline seen from a certain perspective.

To the Moderation of this forum or to whom it may belongs:

I am a User in scc.com and also in a german forum.
There i am posting mainly my pictures, sometimes also a few in scc.com.
But i'd like to be in charge where my Pictures are shown, or at least credited properly with a link (URL) set correctly.

Unfortunately User: "Xorcist", shows my Pictures and as well as Pictures of other Users in that Forum without asking before.
I tried to PN him, but he is ignoring my friendly request to properly credit (as the rules of your forums here clearly are stating as well) and not editing the post:
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...&postcount=755

I think it is a simple form of mannors and character to respect the work of other people and ask them, most people, including me, will not deny that my pictures are shown here.

But taking them without asking, and then showing them even without a proper working link is not the right way.
"Adama DAF" is not the correct setting for this...

Please think about and perhaps a moderator could inform that specific User to obey those rules as i and most others users do as well.

Thankyou!

Newfvgffm: True! It's a shame how some people, especially in the german forum are doing desrespecting other members rights and work!

To the moderation and especially to Adama (and Beggi):

sorry, but i didnīt ignore your friendly request. i just got your PN two days ago, and i couldnīt answer earlier because like some people i must work and iīm not allways at the computer (i had a a lot to do this week). so i hope itīs ok that i just answer it today!!!! i edited the post and i hope itīs ok for you. didnīt know that it is necessary to post a link to the original picture too.
by the way i had no possibility to ask for permisson, that i could use the picture, so I thought I'll do it the way most users in this (and also in the german DAF) forum do and just post the name of the owner or the company/architects...sorry for your inconvenience, i didnīt want to be rude or disrespectful...
