Then why is it under the forum topic heritage buildings and monuments?. Shouldn't this thread be under showcase gallery or city folder.

Mahé, and its Forts and buildings.

Hello,

Does anyone on this list happen to come from Mahé?

I am researching the forts surrounding Mahé and Tellicherry, and I have found pictures and maps of several of these forts from the 1760's.

I have also found what I believe are traces of these forts on Google Earth.

See

I need a bit of local knowledge from this region to help me establish which hills are which in and around Mahé.

Can you locate Chambra Hill, and Ponolla Mala for me?

Regards

Nick

Great pics Sam, but since there doesn't seem to be much heritage buildings or monuments in the photos can this thread please be moved to the Imaginative India subforum.

Kerala is a state in south-west India, which is a top tourist destination. The National Geographic's Traveller magazine names Kerala as one of the "ten paradises of the world" and "50 must see destinations of a lifetime". Travel and Leisure names Kerala as "One of the 100 great trips for the 21st century". The Kerala Government Tourism Department, a government department in charge of promoting tourism has adopted the slogan God's Own Country for its campaigns
