Does this mean the glass wrapping around that curved bit on the balcony will actually be curved, a series of straight panels, or some other material? I guess we'll find out soon.

It'll be curved. I don't see how a series of short panels would work, the radius of the curve is too tight.

Love the glass. I took some photos today which shows it in the sun and it looks even better. I'm really looking forward to seeing this rise.

Very clear-looking glass - love that curve. Is that just for the retail part of the building, i.e. will it be darker in the residential section?

This looks to be a step up from the typical Toronto skyscraper. 5ive is another top notch building U/C. Hopefully this is the new standard in the core. It's been a long time coming after so many mediocre buildings. Bring on Foster's twins, and Gehry's triplets!

April 28th, 2014 by Agent Smit..

Some information about the curtainwall being used. We should be seeing some sort of LED CURTAINWALL for the podium (exciting)!

"The One Bloor project is located in Toronto in Canada, east of One Bloor Street, its Owner is Great Gulf Homes and Hariri Pontarini Architects is the architect. This project is a residential building with 73 floors and 238.3m height, including a commercial podium of 7-storey, the total area of curtain wall is around 50,000 m2; curtain wall of the podium consists of unitized curtain wall, unit window and glass balustrade which also includes aluminum composite board, louver curtain wall, LED curtain wall, ground-spring door and sliding door and other types." - Source : Jangho Group .
