This cements my view that 1 good quality building is worth 10 mediocre ones. Quality over quantity.

I'm assuming the tower portions won't have curved parts on the condo wall, only on the balconies. Quite clever actually. It will be cheaper to do curved balconies, rooms in units won't have to deal with curved walls, and pedestrians will get the illusion that the entire facade features curved walls all the way up. It sort of does I suppose.

Any way, we've been crying out for a show stopper since the building cycle started in 2006. L Tower came close imo, but this looks to be the one that gives us that coveted tower. It's been a very long time coming.

The only others that could top this are Foster's office twins and the Mirvish-Ghery triplets. I'm under the impression that the Foster's proposal will go forward, but is just delayed... for obvious reasons.

I actually would hate to deal with a curved room or apartment.

It's not very practical when it comes to furniture, kitchen cabinets, etc. I remember they designed a super curvy high school in NS and then realized they couldn't put the lockers any where.

Would be great if they could get the podium glazed in time for World Pride.

The designs have steadily gotten better over the last 8 years and we're finally seeing some interesting stuff. It's early on, but this promises to be the best skyscraper to go up since Scotia Plaza.

Great photos! This one is really taking off now. It's going to be one of Toronto's best.
