It will start showing itself in the skyline in a month or two.

Passed by this tower recently, and it's gorgeous! The curved glass is really a nice touch.

I feel honored to have seen the site in person while I was there.

The colour of the balconies - as well as the jagged, rather than undulating form of the glass - makes it looks like an awkward add on. They do not match the colour of the facade, sadly.

I find the set back of the tower from Yonge unfortunate and irritating. I love everything else I see.

For me, it is a blessing that the tower is not in the same line as the others. It makes the street more interesting, it gives it depth and perspective (a bit like King and Bay, where all the buildings have different set backs). Personally, I find it attractive.

The set back is good!!

Depends if you find wider feeling streets appealing. I much prefer the intimate coziness that narrow streets hemmed in by buildings provide.

An equally big problem is the lack of a uniform street apron that this causes. If this gets repeated up and down Yonge it's going to look like an absolute mess. We already have AURA pushed back, now One Bloor. I don't think people have thought this through. Building out the lot line engages the pedestrian and results in a uniform apron of buildings. It's part reason why Manhattan looks so handsome. Ottawa's downtown feels far grander and big city for the exact same reason.

Setting back towers from the street is not a road we want to go down.

^ The set back in this location is totally appropriate considering the volume of pedestrian traffic and two subway entrances.

The position of the tower has zero effect on either of those 2 things. It wasn't built flush with the podium, but set back.

nice curves and setbacks. I think this tower will look great when completed.

I have to agree with isaidso about the setback issue; I much prefer the sheer verticality of buildings flush with the street corridor. It is more pleasing both from a street view and while at the base of the building.

Then again, it is not too much to worry about, the building is great regardless.

I thought you were talking about the setback of the podium, which is the most relevant setback when experiencing the building at grade.
