Is the outer construtional skeletion of this tower made of steel cyclinders filled with concrete ?

Filled with air I think. That's because I have not seen concrete been pumped inside the outer columns in any of the pictures.

The steel cylinders are hollow. Here they can be seen from above. One section is lying on the ground in front of the building before been lifted. It is three stories high. Now imagine the mass of a corresponding much thicker corner section if filled with concrete. It would be impossible to lift. And, the concrete would be cut at every third floor level.

I would imagine that the steel cyclinders of the external frame skeletion would be lifted then bolted and welded into place then filled with concrete

I can not see from any photos where the steel cyclinders are been pumped with concrete but that does not mean they are hollow

Pteranodon,thanks for the info.Looking at the photo you posted,the external frame skeletion definitely looks hollow

I guess the hollow steel cyclinders could support the weight of the tower

Its the most fascinating skyscraper being constructed at the moment with its curves and unusual and unique shape

Its my favourite tower under construction
