Next to Kerry Center Phase I

This complex is in Jingan District. Very close to Plaza 66 complex (which you can see just behind of the main tower in the first render) and next to the Shanghai Exhibition Center, that awful Stalinist building with a huge star on the top of its spire.

I guess they'll demolish that huge piece of crap and build a nice cluster of skyscrapers on its ashes some day

I hope they don't demolish the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. I find it unique. Sometimes 'ugly' buildings which are prominent are the ones that are actually cherished.

BTW, the Kerry Center is in Pudong, right?

Nice would be the tallest of that district in Shanghai.

What are you talking about ?
the hideous white skyscraper with its kind of huge crown into the background is much uglier than the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.
I hope they don't demolish this building.
Moreover it exists hundreds of skyscrapers in shanghai, whereas the shanghai exhibition centre is unique.

I disagree with you Zorg, replacing the Center would be an illogical choice to make way for a more modern and bland building. At least the Center has some architectural merit and heritage, what will replace it will be a boring bland box or a corporate company destroying beautiful sites replacing them with buildings with no identity whatsoever. If anything, that piece of crap skyscraper with the obsurd crown needs to be pulled down instead, looks like something you see in pokemon.

What is it with designers? Everyone wants to design a building which has some rails on top of it. This one has a little bit more unique rails tho, but all tho it's the same idea. f.ex. in New York they are building the NY Times tower which has something like that and i've seen them somewhere else too. It looks okey but they shouldn't build it to "every tower".
I won't put the image of NY Times tower here, because there are people who will wine to me for talking about irrelevant tower. I'm sure u know what I mean.

Just count the no. of floors of the main tower including the "ghost floors" of the crown. How many do you get? I count 70-80, not sure. The shorter tower has 55 floors + 6 "ghost floors". Those 61 floors should be around 250m+ for sure, maybe around 275m.

Then, notice that the grey tower you see in the background in the first pic is Plaza 66 (288m), which looks quite shorter than the main tower of the Kerry Center.

Anyway, if the final height is under 300m we'll just pm the mod to change it, take it easy.
