A lot of people think stone cladding is cheapy quality, all they wanna see is glass cladding, while stone cladding is very classy.

To be honest, only people with a brain damage dislike stone claddings ...

You don't like architecture, if you bash stone claddings.

i noticed there's a very different perception concerning cladding in european countries. whereas germany, netherlands and scandinavian countries very much prefer stone cladded buildings and find it lasting and classy, englishmen or russians consider it "cheap" for some reason.

i can only guess why, but its propably got to do with different architectural traditions.

I prefer stone claddings, but I do also like glass claddings as long as they fit.
But I really really dislike the Moscow skyline. It doesn't fit Russia and it doesn't look good aswell.

I agree. Besides, even if you see the connection, so what? There are plenty sixties architectural gems out there.

I totally agree with you Skyline.Fan. Stone cladding fits so much better at this place in Frankfurt. The skyline of Moscow looks a bit weird, don't fit into the city these glass buildings.

And I think that stone claddings (with high quality natural stones, which is the case in Frankfurt) actually are more expensive than mere glass claddings. So I will never get this argument, especially from our british and russian friends. Maybe they cannot distinguish between concrete and natural stone (chalkstone, sandstone, marble...)

I like this cladding very much. The use of sandstone makes the buildings warmer in their appearance.

According to ImmobilienZeitung, Union Investment rented the lower 7 office floors of the Porta Tower, including the whole base building, for 10 years.
The rent amounts to around 27-30 Euro per m² and month.

The sale of the 200 living units inside the project parts of Patio and Palazzi is scheduled to start in mid 2012. There'll be 90 rental apartments inside the Patio complex and more than 100 condominiums inside the Palazzi complex.
Construction should start at the beginning of 2013 - at the latest.

The whole MainTor area is scheduled to be finished until 2015.
