i never seen such a base before, its twisting from the base... this tower does resemble Busan world business center.

This project isn't just about one tower. It's a commercial district project, consisting of multiple towers of commercial and residential use.

IMO, it doesn't resemble the "Finger" at all. The same company that designed the WBC Busan was a candidate for this project as well, but they didn't make it. And to be frank I'm glad their proposal was dropped, because it looked terrible. BUT... the WBC Busan looks awesome. It's the FINGER!

On another note, Fosters made a very good proposal. Although I think the winning design from Daniel Libeskind is the best, the design proposal from Fosters is way too good to go to waste. I sincerely hope that the Fosters design is built elsewhere in Seoul or Korea.

this is kinda lik SEOUL VS BUSAN in a way. Most supertalls in both cities will be built around the same time.

The design was insipired by ancient golden crowns of Korea, though I can't exactly make out the resemblemnce. In any case, this design is MUCH BETTER than the waterdrop design, IMO.

For Gods sake don't let the NY/NJ Port Authority get any say on this.

It's hard to say. I'm sure they'll begin to prepare the area, but construction throughout Korea has been increasing despite the state of the economy. The government has been directing stimulus to the construction sector, so who can really say.

The construction won't begin until 2011, so there's still a long wait ahead. The area is heavily populated, so moving people out and clearing the area will take time.

I am sorry but this design misses something big. I don't feel anything from this design. This one looks like just made up for no reason. They look like broken sharp crystalls.

It may feel different with the right mix of lighting, probably resembling gold.

Where in Seoul is this located, and what's the area currently used for? The station nearby seems rather important (from the images at least).
