I heard the the cost of moving the base from Yongsan to Pyongtaek was much higher than originally planned, and that the Korean government is being asked to shoulder more of the cost. Hopefully it doesn't effect the redevelopment plans too much.

As much as I miss the Libeskind design, the newer one is more realistic, and if they actually put all that texture into the buildings' exteriors, it will still look very distinctive.

I don't like the desing so much. The location is awesome but in my opinion they doesn't should plan there an enormous complex but just a part of the city with a real continuity. All the more that the location is so awesome.

This is center of SEOUL. Libeskind design must have to BUILT AND REAL!!!
No need ordinary design. No more COMI-BLOCK!
This is icon of korea and seoul!!!
They spent big money and tax to saejong city construction but no spent anykind of coin to Youngsan! Irrational.

I really wished Daniel Libeskind's design would come to light but I guess not...at least for now. Please SEOUL CITY GOVERNMENT, build something that REPRESENTS Seoul and NOT just a building with same design same concrete as any other residential towers around Seoul but just taller. I am a BIG hater of Mokdong Hyperion Towers, Galeria Foret (super similar design as Richensia in Bucheon) and other "TALL" apartments. Bring back Libeskind's design NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope the start this project within the next year; this one is so huge, and central in Seoul, that I can't imagine them not doing something with this space.

Here's to hoping that this project will proceed smoothly from here on out. Central Seoul needs some sparkle. At this point, I don't care whose proposal is actually used; seeing a few two- and three-hundred meter towers, never even mind the 500m tower, go up will be fantastic. This city deserves it!

Or do I interpret it right? All these malls are going to be beneath the street, and beneath these mall another streets goes. Or does this pic shows two seperate parts of the district. It would be nice if someone could translate the description for us. If my thirs thought is right though there will be a hell of a hole to dig to make that complex
