Harbor Entrance | Lindau, Germany

In 1856 a new harbor in Lindau (at the biggest lake of Germany, the Bodensee) with the landmarks
lion and lighthouse was built - the only one of Bavaria!

Today it's probably the main symbol of the beautiful town of Lindau.

The new lighthouse (Neuer Leuchtturm) was required due to the enormous growth and importance of the harbour back in the days.
And the lion is a special one - the symbol of Bavaria, the bavarian lion.

The opposite promenade of the harbour, with the recognisable Mangturm (old lighthouse)

Some aerial views, with the old town island of Lindau
and the harbour entrance on the Bodensee (Lake Constance)

From a zeppeline (Here you're able to book a tour with it, they use to start where history of zeppelines began - in Friedrichshafen)

View from the Pfänder (biggest alpine mountain in that area)

I felt in love the first time I arrived with a little ferry at this charming harbor

I've visited the Lindau harbor this summer - it was truly amazing to enjoy the feeling and good mood around this area. Especially at night, while drinking some fine bavarian beer and relishing the marvelous view
