Thanks for those updates! It's hard to navigate the Polish forums (for non Polish speakers obviously) because it is so dissimilar to English, so it's nice to get a compact look at a large number of active projects!

Thank you!

WOW I haven't been to Warszawa for ten years. I can see that the city is getting some of the highest quality office developments in Europe right now.

Good luck with your projects.

PS the Plac Defilad proposal is a bit too much though. Otherwise great!

we haven't had an update here in awhile.

So, which projects/developments has the economic crisis killed?

Does Lilium still have a chance?

Wow- most of these projects look fantastic. Maybe I should move out of Toronto and to Warsaw. At the very least I won't have to put up with Tamil protests there

It's nice to see that many of these projects have and will break ground. Zlota 44 will most likely be finished I hope if Orco restructures or finds a partner. They may need to convert part of the building to offices to make it viable like the Hancock Tower in Chicago - a mixed use building would work very well here.

The concept fopr Place Defilad is the most realistic, refined and above all workable one that I have seen. The edges relate well to the existing city fabric and the towers are nicely set back. Nice to see the Modern Art Museum in the concept. Don't mind the tower in the park, since so much public space is being provided.

Hope to see it all some day.

Urbanista- do you know when Orco will be able to go on with the construction of Zlota 44?
You're not suggesting that Warsaw would lose this building and compromise the design?

I strongly believe that it will be built as they have already invested so much. A design change could only happen with the architect's approval, as Libeskind would have rights over this. Worst case would be if ORCO fails then completion would have to wait until a new developer takes over. I suppose anything is possible. The failure of ORCO is not a bad reflection on Warsaw as the city is still booming with unemployment below 2%. Fingers crossed in any case.

why so much effort to hide that beautiful tower with those ugly no-personality buildings!????

whether you like it or not that soviet tower is the only worldwide known icon of Varsovia. It could only be in Varsovia, Moscow or Saint Petersbourg. Those CW as personality-less, and "international" in it worst sense.
