New concept for the Chmielna 89 Kulczyk Silverstein Properties building (55m)
- the previous projects assumed to built a 280m and than a smaller 130m office tower on the site.

Quote:
Epstein is providing architectural design and structural engineering services for this 40,000 square meter high-rise office building in Warsaw, Poland.
Chmielna 89 is being designed for one of Poland’s wealthiest developers - Jan J. Kulczyk.
_______________________________________________________

The development is located within the Warsaw Commercial Business District on site with many restrictions.
Overcoming those restrictions was a challenge for our designers.
The unusual triangle shape of the building was defined by a condition of zero-shading-impact on neighboring buildings.

First London introduces a skyscraper with a diamond facade, then Paris and now Warsaw

And it's not a skyscraper anymore. Seriously, I think that's the biggest non-recession-excused height cut ever.

From 280 to 55, oh well :P And the building itself is just ok, nothing special IMO.

I think it will be one of the most recognized buildings on the skyline

It won't be that visible among the towers of 160m and more.

Well, Warsaw is going forward with most of the new projects (skyscrapers) and this one doesn't really look that hot when compared to other major development. I believe that in the beginning it was supposed to be the tallest tower in Europe and this is just a standard office building. In a few years no one will remember this one and that's my biggest problem with it, as it was getting lots of hype.

You're not serious, are you? :P It's just 55m, it won't even be visible.

That doesn't change the fact that it won't be one of the most recognized buildings in the skyline because it won't be part of the skyline at all, it's too small.

Yes, it's a bit too short but I really like the design and edgy look of it. Add an extra 100m and you would have yourself an awesome skyscraper.

Just a reminder - here are the previous concepts of this project.

280m - this was the first option.

Second project - 130m - 280m

And the last one - 130m

It looks like it's not in a very dense area though

It should be visible from certain angles just like it's neighbor.
