Epically slow, whilst the actual construction that's taken place looks rather shoddy. The only thing they've done well so far is to show the rest of the world how not to construct a new stadium. Just glad that not all new Russian stadiums are built in this half-arsed manner, though.

Mutko added that work on the new stadium was under way and promised strict control over construction deadlines. "It is out of the question that St. Petersburg will miss the deadline," the minister said.

Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan are set to host the Confederation Cup in 2017, one year before the World Cup is held in Russia.

Construction of the new stadium, which will be the new home for the Zenit St. Petersburg football club, began in Russia's second city in 2007, but work was interrupted several times due to skyrocketing costs.

St. Petersburg's legislative assembly announced Monday that the stadium's final price tag will be 37.7 billion rubles ($1.2 billion), making it one of the most expensive in the world, according to Lenta.ru.

Официальный сайт сине-бело-голубых продолжает следить за ходом строительства нового петербургского стадиона на Крестовском острове и представляет очередной отчет о проделанной на объекте работе.

Строительная площадка стадиона перешла к новому этапу развития: вдвое выросла численность персонала, монтируются дополнительные механизмы и строительные леса.



В осях 6-8 сектора В на отметке +32.550 произведен монтаж опалубки. Чуть выше на отметке +32.700 произведено бетонирование рамы.
В секторе F произведено бетонирование участка гребенки трибун. В секторе К выполнен монтаж конструкций под перекрытия на отметке +10.200. В секторах А и Е смонтировано еще два башенных крана.

И все-таки основным участком приложения сил пока остается сектор G . За истекший период были выполнены работы по бетонированию стен – 500 кубических метров, перекрытий - 1189 кубических метров.



Закончено бурение свай под металлические конструкции дополнительного моста, причем общий объем бетонирования составил порядка 695 кубических метров, также ведутся работы по армированию ростверка.



Протянуты пучки высокопрочной арматуры, выполнено преднатяжение стен - именно они впоследствии будут нести нагрузки от основных конструкций моста.

When I watching the game at Toyota yesterdag between Al Ahly and Corinthians, I noticed ther's a kind of simular construction with the post that supports the roof.
The posts are between the stands just like in the renders.
