Three of my favourites, even though I like many more

Hagia Sophia, Istanbul. At the time of construction, the Greek Christian city of Constantinople. One of the greatest buildings ever built. Constructed in five years, from 532 to 537, at the orders of Emperor Justinian I and designed by Isidore of Miletus.

Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem. Built between 687 and 691 by the 9th Caliph, Abd al-Malik.

Capitol building Washington DC. Begun in 1793. It has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored.

Fresco, the Apotheosis of Washington, by Greek-American artist Constantino Brumidi.

The Pantheon Dome in Rome, of course. It's been there for almost 2000 years now - and virtually intact.

It will always be Skydome to me... Rogers will have to sue me before I call it the Rogers Centre.

Will this qualify as a dome?

Warsaw's Zlote Tarasy:

None of the two pics were taken by me.

Here is a link to more pics of the building: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=452588

The Taj Mahal - epic, majestic and IMO the most beautiful mausoleum and tribute to love in the world.
The Emperor Shāh Jahān commissioned it for his wife Mumtaz Mahal who died during childbirth. He was later deposed and imprisoned and from his "prison" he could see the Taj. It is also rumored that he had planed a black marble version for himself.

I visited it on a misty day which gave it a somewhat melancholy feel.

Dôme des Invalides, Paris.

Achieved in 1706, 107 metres high, considered by many to be the masterpiece of French classical architecture.
