How come all of that costs only 130 MEUR? I mean expansion of the ring road plus 2 new bridges over the Danube??

How long is the section to be expanded?

About 13km. And its current state is actually a 3+e used as a 2+2. We were also quite surprised,as this is approximatelly the cost of the reconstruction of Margit bridge.

We should hire the same company here. Though it seems almost incredible to me.

PS: Actually, Strabag does some works here as well.

I think you discussed about this: What do you think about the median on the M0 between M1 and M5? It's very down and the lights are blinding me. When the counter will be set up high?

that is temporary solution. there was no median at all before. you could see that M0 is being totaly reconstructed on that section

Thanks. I can see there was no median because there are the old green signs yet.

Are there traffic fatality statistics from 2009 for Hungary yet? The problem is Hungarian is so different from other languages, I can't really search for it. I mean, I can search for Norwegian, Danish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German or French news, but Hungarian...

Please post a news message here including source (may also be in Hungarian), so I can make a list of 2009 traffic fatalities.

I couldn't find data for the whole year of 2009 yet. This image shows the statistics for the previous years, and the first 3 months of 2009:

I found another article, and it says 615 victims for the first 9 months of 2009, which is 103 less compared to previous year.

Neither could I...
Only this:
2009 (january - november): 679 fatalities (16% lower than the same period in 2008)
This is the newest...
In Hungary the road authorities don't like to present the statistics...

(source: http://www.inforadio.hu/hir/belfold/hir-323937)

However I found an older but good statistc.
It's between 1989 and 2008. Translation to english is included.

Here is a fresh article about traffic accidents in 2009 (in Hungarian):

http://index.hu/belfold/2010/01/11/orfk/

The main facts:

Number of accidents with injuries: 19174 (2008) - 17808 (2009) (-7,12%), out of these:

- Fatal: 890 (2008) - 747 (2009) (-16,07%)
- Serious injuries: 6170 (2008) - 5538 (2009) (-10,27%)
- Slight injuries: 12114 (2008) - 11523 (2009) (-4,88%)

Number of victims of road accidents: 996 (2008) - 817 (2009) (-17,97%)

Let's hope the trend will continue...

What are the prediction for this year for M4 or M35?
Do you know which of them will arrive first to Romanian border?
Which is the final plan, because I saw here a lot of different versions!
