1. On M70 accident nobody was drunk, the bus driver fell asleep.
2. If AADT is low, why isn't then the whole M70 half profile?

In fact more than half of M70 is 2x2 because of overtaking sections around ICs.

These short 2x2 sections are very important because they give higher traffic safety by possibility of overtaking (not only on M70 but on M2, 21, 61 Kaposvár bypass, M9 51-54, planned M44 and all of planned 2x1 expressways).

Hello Atza,

I hope that now, with the new section of M43 until Mako, Szeged has less circulation.

At lest if all the drivers knows now about the new M43 section.

I shall presume that in Mako now it's a little difficult. Until the new Mako - Nagylak section will be open, but this it will not happen soon!

In Mako it's not difficult at all. All the traffic comming from the Romanian border at Nădlac/Nagylak is using Mako bypass, so the traffic in Mako is fine. Imagine how happy are the residents of this little town that there are no trucks in their town. And the situation is similar to Szeged, no trucks. Only those that are comming from Cenad border crossing need to pass through Mako to get to the new M43. Here is a video of the new M43 and Mako bypass in the direction Nădlac - Mako - Szeged.

It's enough that most drivers know.

Two villages can be anavilable through bad road surfaces. At Heréd and Nagykökényes in Central North Hungary the roads have so bad quality that some of them can't even be driven by trucks.
Regional bus company Hatvani Volán declared that from July 1st these two villages will have no more bus services because the roads are so bad that it is dangerous for buses to use them.

Design and construct 2+1 rural roads are prohibited in Hungary for about 40 years (except climbing lanes).

Will there be any completion of another motorway in Hungary, besides the opening of the M43 to Mako? I'm Curious

The first ("Makó") is the correct.

The painting on M70 has begun. Speed limit down to 90 Km/h in some places.

That was really fast.

Similar was done in Slovenia 6 years ago, when 8 people died in horrific crash and another 3 few weeks later on H1. Doubling solid relief line through whole length of 1+1 expressway lowered number of tragic accidents considerably.

Somewhat meager for a 5-year investment period if you ask me. Especially since these are mostly toll motorways, right?

Hungary, as well as some other nations in Europe, has a financial crisis. It would not be fair to provide money for motorways when new and new taxes are declared each month and even poor people, having a monthly salary of 300 euros are forced to pay more tax than before.
And everyone sees that recently built motorways are empty (e.g. M6 and M60 have AADT of 8-9,000) so people do not favor building motorways instead of lowering taxes or raising pensions.
The current government has declared previously not to build any new roads for financial reasons. You can see that new roads will be built where inhabintants suffer heavily because of heavy freight transport across towns and villages (especially roads 4, 43, 44, 85, 85), but nothing else.
