New photo gallery of the u/c M3 between Nyíregyháza and Main road 49.

The pix are from 05.2012, and the developement itself seem to be in a pretty advanced stage. Deadline for completion is 30.11.2012, so it's seems to be right on schedule!

If any of you guys have some spare time and will, please do upload a couple of photos.

I've also passed a lot of times on M0-south and I can say it was 50%-50%. Sometimes the traffic is fluent and ok, but other times it's a hell... you just go with the snail speed or even stop totally and wait.

Here are 2 videos recorded by me some times ago (September 2010 and September 2011) where you can see how the traffic is sometimes:

The first 2 minutes of this video are actually on M5, before entering M0. This congested area will be bypassed by that new stretch of M0.

So yes Baiazid, you are lucky

Did any of you use this road to access M43 coming from Cenad (RO), to bypass Mako?

Regarding your original question, the fact is you can't predict which way is better because if there's no jam on M0 then thats faster, but it can be totally ok through the city too, it's 2x2 all the way and Budapest traffic is not as bad as people describe it all the time imo

Right. So the reason why the phase 3 is built is that it will link with the eastern part of M0 ?

Actually i dont know what is the old and the new part of M0 but that doesn't care anyway.....

Do anybody know when phase 3 is finished. is early summer 2013 correct ?

This deadline should also count for the phase 2 upgrade ?

indeed, I'll hope these 2 sections would be finished before the summer season starts (end of June)

How is the condition on phase 1 ? i read that 2 of the lanes will be closed till september 2012, and lastly the section between Rajka and Hegyeshalom.. any news about that ?

Thanks in advance

I would say in the morning 8-9:30, afternoon 16-18. After the scool is over (15 June), traffic will be better in Budapest

Spanish plates, yes. But most likely the care belongs to a Romanian guy going back to Spain. Currently there are about 1 million Romanians living in Spain. So there are a lot of them traveling by car between Romania and Spain.

Yeah, but it's not weird at all. In Romania there are many cars with license plates from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, UK, Ireland or Bulgaria that belong to Romanians that are working in those countries (except Bulgaria, where they register the cars for low taxes).
