I like those exits. Much better than those clogged up traffic light ones.

By the way, i drove on the ringroad of my hometown Zwolle, and some Hungarian guy asked the way to Groningen. I used my best German to point the way, i'm glad i can help my Hungarian friends out

Yes, but much more expensive. This type (as in picture) is reasonable for hight traffic volumes. For low volumes this is too expensive.

Both. Szabadság bridge is under repair(only pedestrian traffic),but the ships in the pics are transporting a part to the new bridge. That is not a barge. It is a part of the bridge,on which the road will go,though it is on barges.

Hi all!!
yeah the Békásmegyer interchange will be cool, one side is now open (towards Budapest), i've driven it as i live very close. I find it really amazing how they can totally change a road or intersection without closing it, just playing around with managing traffic, so i followed the construction. Qtya's pictures are cool! I love the curve

The partly opened overpass at the U/C M0-Main road 11 interchange via mobile phone...

M7-M1 going out of the city.

The widest motorway in Hungary, the common segment of M7-M1.

Lot of destinations.

Average traffic on M7...

...when things like this happen

A gas station with a small restaurant(I suppose),which is a new concept in Hungary.

This is a new part of M7 already, near Siófok.

Lake Balaton.

I like these "cuts". They are almost as good as tunnels.

Lake Balaton and landscape from road 71(I think)

Road 70something,going to Keszthely.

Animal crossing.

As I said ,I like these things.

I traffic control overhead display

The M7 is a 2+3 lane motorway(3 going to Budapest)from Székesfehérvár.

Lake Velence

Something is being widened on M0.

Future M6 junction

M0 Danube bridge over its main branch

M5

Going to M0

"New" segment of M0 between M5-main road 4(future M4)

Future M4 motorway(or is it already?)

And I left the bonus to the end. Sorry for the quality, the compression, editing and the sun made it a bit less enjoyable(the original file is 42mb,and that is clearer, but I wont upload that)
Ladies and gentleman, may I present you...:
the vidaduct of Kőröshegy!

(This is the side to Budapest,I have the other side too,I'll try to make that available too,if you guys like this.)

Looks like we will soon have a complete coverage of Hungary's motorways as we do with Slovenia!

Also, I wanted to ask you guys but always forgot: why is the M7 2+3? Is it because arriving faster Sunday night in Budapest in order to be ready for work is more important than reaching Balaton and relaxation at the beginning of the weekend?

I suppose because of M0. Traffic coming out of Budapest is ok on 2 lanes, but traffic coming from the direction of Croatia,Slovenia, maybe Serbia, needs some extra space. But thats just my opinion.
But I remeber the times when the 20min trip from lake Velence took 1 hr,because of the traffic jams...now they are not that common there(well, not because the lack of lanes on the motorway itself).

BTW,we have a complete coverage of them in the CE subforum

wicked pix RawLee!
I love the first video! The second one you cant see much.
I might have some shots of the M43 soon, I liked it when I was there allthough it is very short. Strangely it has quite a sharp curve on the eastbound lanes which is unusual on motorways. I wish they continued with the m43 as truck and car traffic is now massive from Romania and Bulgaria. Been to Szeged a couple of times recently, the change is quite noticable.
