It's emigration, not immigration (at least if we talk about Hungary ;-)). And I disagree even about the numbers: I think it must be near to one million.

It's not a matter of "I think" but rather statistics. And again while it's hard to exactly determine the number I haven't read any paper or article or study that puts it above 500k. http://www.portfolio.hu/gazdasag/mun...us.179053.html

You'll have to close your border again.

Hungarians like to think in extremes and many times you can find people who talk about this place like if it was worse than Bangladesh and Somalia combined. And also there is the concept in our media and the publications of some related "opinion makers" that we are the only CEE country in the EU experiencing emigration.

But anyway this is OT. The ontopic thing is that M6 (especially the sections south of Dunaújváros) was built too early and other projects like M4 should have been completed before it.

This is not DDR nor socialism!

BTW- Hungary has never closed/sealed its borders in the past 1100 years, except during those bloody forty years of communism.. Where you see them now, there were no borders hundred years ago.

Actually, mostly Hamburger paper factory. I am personally responsible for a daily 6-10 trucks Just doing my part for the AADT. It offloads about 120-150 trucks a day.

...45-60 min ( yesteday's info )
...my suggestion - go to the Backi vinogradi border.

I'm going to drive on next Monday, so today's information is most relevant. It was up to 30 minutes. Actually, I can't decide whether to take the route through Rözske and pass it fluently, or to take the route through Tompa and stop there to have incredibly tasty Hungarian langos.

As definitivo above said, You should take Baćki Vinogradi if you are not sure about queue at the border in Roszke/Horgos. Unfortunately, taking Baćki Vinogradi border you do some detour but not so long as via Tompa. And most important think: remember that Baćki Vinogradi border is open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Actually, that border crossing is called Bački Vinogradi not Baćki Vinogradi. Reading it with "ć" instead of "č" made me laugh because "ć" is like soft "č", so I had on my mind some small kid saying it.
Sorry for this off-topic.

Is online purchasing of matrica vignette allowed for foreigners as well? I have tried it several times and resulted in error message "Transfer failed". Now I am not sure if I had confused some numbers or if I'm wasting time :-)

I mean this site
https://www.virpay.hu/en/autopalya-matrica-vasarlas.htm
