Seems, that this new bridge is wide enough to allow 3+3 driving lanes in the future. Good move.

Also, why are upper parts of both pillars covered with glass?

this structure couldn't be widened.
so it had to be built with full with.

Congrats. Which part was actually opened? Part of the ring, or motorway connecting the ring with the M3? Or both?

Actually,it will be built by the 31st of May,2010 by Colas and Hídépítő.
It will has to be built by then, else we will loose all money for M0 east, the Danube bridge and M31.

What do you mean "we will loose all money for M0 east, the Danube bridge and M31"?

Is the new part of M0 a motorway or expressway? Which parts of M0 are motorways, and which expressways actually? And what's the official status of the urban part of the M3? It can't be motorway.

Its heavily subsidized by the EU. If we fail to complete it by that date...bye-bye money. The EU gave money for the M0 east-bridge-M31 combo.

M0 is an expressway. M4-M31 was designed with wider median for an additional lane(so its 4 each direction with emergency). There are no urban motorways, there's no such thing here. Its just a road with elevated speed limit inside the border(I have never seen higher speeds than 70 inside settlements, though 90 is probable on such roads).
