And, reiterating my earlier question, what grade(over 10) would you give President Aquino in his effecting his agenda of the tuwid na daan here in Pampanga as a whole?

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Kapampangans from different parts of the province and abroad said they would like to hear President Benigno Aquino III’s programs for various sector issues here in his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) today, Monday.

In random interviews made by Sun.Star, Kapampangans said they would like to hear about Aquino’s accomplishments and future programs for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), lesbian and gay rights, solutions to the diplomatic relationship with China over Panatag Shoal, economic accomplishments for 2013, the seemingly slow government projects and the economic agenda for 2013.

An influential Roman Catholic official here said he is interested to hear Aquino’s stand on the Reproductive Health bill. Meanwhile, business leaders here would like to hear Aquino’s assessment on the initial quarter of this fiscal year.

Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PamCham) vice chairman Rene Romero described recently the performance of the local economy during the first semester or past six months of 2012 as still “sluggish.”

At the onset of the year, Romero opined that the local economy would be “shaky” but not “really worrying,” because of external effects of other world economies like that of the US, China and what he branded as the Asean tigers.

Earlier last week, youth groups in Central Luzon launched a week-long protest activity in preparation of Aquino’s Sona that will be greeted with a bigger protest rally from participants coming from the provinces that will troop to Batasang Pambansa today, Monday.

The activities were led by Anakbayan, League of Filipino Students, Karatula, College Editors Guild of the Philippines, and National Union of Students of the Philippines.

There will also be an interactive timeline of Aquino's speech that can be accessed at specials.sunstar.com.ph/noynoyaquino, plus multimedia reports, Sona fast facts, glossary of Filipino-English terms used by the President in his report, and even a transcript of his address.

Updates will also be posted on social media, through Sun.Star - Philippine News on Facebook, @sunstaronline on Twitter, and Sun.Star Philippines on Google+.

The website will also provide online polls to give its readers a chance to rate President Aquino's performance. The polls will be made available both on Facebook and on the PNoy special section at specials.sunstar.com.ph/noynoyaquino. (Ian Ocampo Flora)

Oh, BTW guys, I don't know if I heard correctly what the beloved mayor of the City of Mabalacat who shall not be named said out of his mouth while I was having coffee in Starbucks with a friend (and fellow SSC member) visiting from Bacolod. I think I heard him say that he will no longer run for mayor but his son will! I don't know though if I hear correctly. What do you think did he say?

Well here was the problem which arose. It was originally named "Angeles City and Pampanga Thread". It was then changed to "Pampanga Province Thread". We requested to revert it back to the original as Angeles City is independent from the provincial government of Pampanga. That made the problem worse. Just to let it cool down, now we have "Angeles and San Fernando Cities and Pampanga Province Thread". So I guess we must make the name longer now?

Hehe! Kung ako tatanungin, I would really prefer "Angeles City & Pampanga Province" thread na lang. Sobrang redundant na kc if lahat ng cities iinclude. Component cities lng nman Mabt & Sn Fernando so ok lng cguro dating thread title. I'm a Fernandino but I don't mind if they revert it to the old one.

Ang Mabalacat component pa lang sya at di pa huc gaya ng Angeles City pag sinabing Pampanga kasama pa rin sya auto na yon sa Pampanga na di gaya ng Angeles City may mga aspeto sa Pampanga na separated sya. Ang San Fernando capital nga pero ganun din pag minention ang Pampanga alam na ang San Fernando capital ng Pampanga at kasama na kaagad di pa ito huc din gaya ng Mabalacat City.

I agree w/ u, Pidjung. "Angeles City & Pampanga" thread na lng since Angeles is politically separate from Pampanga. Pag di sinama Mabalacat sa thread title, baka kc magtampo pa mga Mabalaquenos. I'm from CSF & I don't mind pero palagay ko di naman siguro magagalit ung iba if tanggalin na Sn Fernando sa title since component city lng nman sya. Fellow Fernandinos, wag po tayo maging sensitive & maging objective lng sana.
