Here's the foundation work from Arpil 27th. They were pouring the first conrete pillars yesterday.



The El Rancho sign gets chipped away at. A couple guys with blowtorches rain steel down onto the ground at night.

Here's another interesting observation I made about the Fontainebleau foundation construction. Extensive modifications were made to the foundation after it was already started. The second rendition of the foundation is much deeper and much stronger. Wonder if they are going to make one more run at getting their original request for a 1000 foot tower passed? Or not.

And now after they excavated around each poured footing, jackhammered out all the exposed concrete pillars and then finally built large rectangular massive steel reinforced concrete structures to put the piers on.

I have placed a web cam in my 34 th floor unit in Turnberry Place which is adjacent to the Fontainebleau site. If you would like to access the camera, just go to http://turnberry.raditton.com:84 and use:

The resolution of the camera is not great and there is a lot of glare in the afternoon, but it has pan/tilt and zoom capability. I will try to keep it up during the duration of the project if people are interested.

I was googling earlier looking for information about Las Vegas Tower and I noticed that in this SEC Form 8-k second amendment to the land purchase agreement that it also explains a temporary lease of the land to a third party (Fontainebleau) that can be terminated 60 days after LVT1 takes title to the land. So that explains what's going on the lot to the north. Fontainebleau is probably paying for all that grading over there.

Dude! This is great. Thanks so much. I was just about to do the same thing from Sky on the other side. What camera are you using? The quality is pretty good, really.

I'm choosing to believe that it's because they have some revolutionary or at least original design elements that they don't want to tip their hand on. There are nearby competitors that could integrate these elements into their own developments since they have not broken ground yet.

I am using a 4xem IP network cam. Their website is

I put them up all over my place to keep track of the contractors. They work out pretty well.

Yep, this just appeared on the Las Vegas Tower site. Obviously for Fontainebleau use.
