Its wide mainly because the apartments are in a line on each floor. There are 2 lift lobbies on each floor. As such each apartment has harbour and city views on the rear side of the building, and beach/sea/coastal views on the front side.

This building is taking up 3 sites. two at the front for the tower and 1 at the back for the parkade.

The other towers (San Raphael and the Mast) are each only taking up one site. So yes this one is wider and fatter. yet somehow the top still looks sleek and slender. probably due to the layered floors on the upper levels

There is already a Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, UK.

It looks like a taller version of the Sonagal building in Luanda

Just a view to show how it is dominating its part of the skyline (The building in the middle of the picture). The Mast (40F) and San Raphael (35F) towers are to be built right next to it.

Just another picture update (taken 3 weeks ago)...its coming along nicely, nearly toped out, 4 floors plus the roof level and spire to go! completion is still october.

Prime view from Ushaka

View from Timeball Square, dockpoint in foreground

Back view

Side view from point road aka mahatma ghandi road

A lovely old building that has been preserved in the creation of the spinnaker. dont know it it is to be used for, but i just love it.

From R1m ($142 000) for a studio, from R2,2m ($314 000) for a 2 bed, to R18m ($2,57m) for the top Penthouse apartment, which has been sold.
