I never thought the white formation would look as magical as it did in the designs, but it really does! This is a magical monument, timeless and beautiful like a rock withstanding water and wind. I love it.

They better finish this soon.

Rise of costs now officially. 198 Millions more for the city. The city now pays 0.575 Billions for zhis shice.
Together with the private investments and donation the total price should be around --- umpfh. I don't even know - maybe 0,7 billion.
Hochtief remains the constructer.

Several regional and german newspapers demanding the stop of this construction and transform it into a memorial of stupidity, political craving for recognition and wrong world city dreams.

Stopping the build now would be extremely stupid though...

I am one of those people who prefer a timeless monument of art over some financial disaster. Honestly, do you even care that thousands of people had to suffer in order for the Pyramids to be built when looking at it?

They should bite through and finish this thing without any concessions regarding the quality. Imho.

The outside is pretty much finished anyway. Don't mind what they do inside.

While I still love Germany and always will, this project along with the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport has deeply damaged the impressions I had about German efficiency and timeliness. These delays are not just normal delays, but embarrassingly astronomical.

Me, too. Because the city planers wanted to sell every square meter to investors to build something on it, they totally forgot about infratrustructual connectionts like a bus station or taxi parking spaces, even big enough streets and pavements. Every event will urgently lead to a collapse in front of this building.
Finish it outside and let it look good, but leave the inside like it is, plant some ladders and ropes and you got a great adventure park.

yes, but you have no gain from it. In the Petri-Church you have no free sight on this scene. Bulls-eye Windows, cloudy rainy day with raindots on the window and very stormy. In the Curch you are close under the roof (red arrow), the construction is shaking and the window to the EP is over the staircase and taking a picture from there is a balance act.
Window-rain-stormy/shacking -> unsharp picture

see what I mean? (but don't worry. I will return there on a better day and with a tripod
