i like the design on this build except for the base. i would have preferred the stone facing just been glass like the upper floors. but i think it will compliment the T.O. skyline well. possible decrease in size is a let down if it happpens. i thought the height proposed would look good. shrinking it would lose it in the skyline there already. but we'll see what happens.

Think this one will be 'lost' in the skyline. It's too bunched up with the existing towers, and is not tall enough to stand out amidst the cluster. Even Bay-Adelaide is hard to see from the waterfront perspective.

I think the same.... you won't notice too much from the lake but from the skyline looking south, it's gonna look very nice.

It's so exciting when a new major tower arises, knowing that pretty soon the skyline will be changed forever.

Many skyscraper enthusiasts in Toronto lament about how Trump will barely be visible in the skyline due to being surrounded on all sides by similarly sized towers. If we only viewed cities from a distance they'd have a point. The vast majority of time, we view cities up close. I find this level of intensification energizing and visually stimulating.

1 King West is another example of a tall building being squeezed into an impossibly small lot. It accomplished the same exhilarating big city feel as Trump will when completed. We may not be able to see Trump from the islands, but it's going to pull its weight in many other ways.

that is going to be one tall, dense section of buildings. 270 meters all up close. Nice.

I assumed he was referring to the cluster of buildings in the area. FCP is 298 m, Scotia Plaza is 275 m, and this will be 282 m; hence leading to the conclusion that everything will be 270 m and up.
