This fits with the rest of the downtown, but any idea if and when it actually will start construction?

Yes scheduled, but things can change no? It just seems like ages ago this was announced, and units have been for sale for quite awhile.

I wish they had thought of atleast a 400m + tower.

Whoever say's that this tower doesn't fit in well with it's surroundings must be taking some sort of hallucinogenic drugs. It couldn't compliment the other buildings any better than it already does as seen from the renders. Very nice building and a great addition to the Toronto skyline imo.

Is this confirmed fact? If so, I'll change the thread title and--with disappointment--move it to the Highrises subforum.

Nobody knows yet.. there has been no final word yet. As soon as there has been an official statement, it will probably be reported here.

In the new world of 2000ft skyscrapers, 925ft is medium height. The standard of what constitutes tall has shifted dramatically in the past few years. 925ft was tall circa 1995 or prior. Not everything needs to be tall, but lets get real here, TrumpToronto is a midget compared to what is being built these days. Add another 400-700ft and you're in tall territory.

That said, 1500 ft towers are probably going to be office towers not residential, regardless of where you are in the world. |

It will absolutely be built, 100% probability. This building is over 80% sold right now so it is a no-brainer. Talon is majority owner and Trump has a small minority interest so it is a bit more than just marketing Valentino. Last edited by Intheknow07; June 10th, 2007 at 07:20 PM. |
