they were going to, but then they realized that it would be physically impossible to do (RE. cost too much for the little gain in condo units to sell, meaning that they would pull less of a profit if they built it taller)

They shortened it because the units weren't selling.

The crown looks pretty neat but oh man! that antenna is just pathetic.

Oh yes, I can't agree more on that. The Antenna is just one totally mis-shaped, out of proportions "thing" that looks like nothing. Maybe just a nutch or a shorter version would have been better.

I thought the antenna was going to be encased in the glass that runs straight down to the ground?

That's what I thought. They're still putting it together, aren't they?

Obviously the top of the tower isn't finished yet, so I'm hoping they'll fix the antenna. Where's trumptoronto when you need him?

Phew! It is taking an absurd amount of time getting to the odds and ends on this building. They've been working on that spire for a very long time.

almost nobody likes this building... I am happy they ended up shortening it! this would have been disastrous to have as our cities tallest building!

I think people exaggerate... it isn't the nicest building in the world but it is okay.

Even though I don't like this building, I would have liked it bit better if it had been built to its originally proposed height. Heck I would have liked it more if it had been even taller ... say around 350m.

I was amazed to see that you can already book rooms at this hotel?

Just saw it on Air Canada's website!

If the facade was dark grey, I would have liked it 100x more.
