This thread will only include buildings greater than 500' (152m) since Chicago currently has over 160 high-rises either under construction or proposed.
All of the height information in this thread comes from Emporis and should be accurate. This thread will constantly be updated with new projects as they are announced. For a complete list of all high-rise projects in Chicago, visit the Chicago Boom Rundown Thread on SSP.

Color Code:
Red = over 1,000ft
Magenta = 700 - 999ft
Purple = 600 - 699ft
Blue = 500 - 599ft

- where there is no roof height, the information is either unknown or the structural height is the roof height.

Random question, but did you (Kngkyle) live in Chicago at one point or something? I'm just wondering about your level of interest and knowledge in Chicago projects considering your location is West Palm Beach.

Anyway, good work.

Nope, never lived there. Hope to in the future though. Not quite sure why I am so interested in Chicago. My sister used to have a house in Naperville, so I've been there a couple times, but it was the 90's then so I don't really remember a whole lot about it. Wasn't a skyscraper fanatic back then.

Nicely done. 155 N Wacker is supposed to be 660 feet and 50 floors.

Impressive. Chicago has more 500 footers under construction than we have in our entire city. I expect nothing less, of course.

Added new renders for the Chicago Spire. It was just approved by the planning commission too. Caisson orders have been sent out. It still requires approval by the city council, which is expected on May 9th.

One of the new renders:

It means he has sent out packages requesting bids for the caisson work. In other words, asking for an estimate. I believe. Might be wrong.

I really hope in numbers 3-6 on (Inter Cont., 560 N.Fairbanks, Cityfront 3, 680 N.Rush) the proposed list that at that at least two of the four will be built. That section of the skyline really will need somes talls to connect the JHC and Illinois Center clusters.
