I downloaded something from Simtropolis a while ago that claimed to improve the transport engine in the game, make it more realistic. This was before I downloaded the NAM update from Simtropolis. However it never really helped and caused my Freight to travel around my entire city using almost every road available before leaving the city.
Is this a common problem with this patch or is there another explanation? I'm asking this in advance of trying it tomorrow maybe now that I've got the NAM update so if thats the cure I apologise!

It sounds like a conflict with NAM. try removing that file (i think your refering to the radical traffic modd or somthing similar).
I know that the june 2007 NAM includes traffic route/speed/capacity mods, thus it is probable that they are conflicting. The only problem i've encountered in the June 07 NAM is the dragable GLR doesnt work.

That's weird. I've been having trouble with glr/avenue and dragable glr. |

I haven't had any problems with glr in ave. If anything its more stable then the normal glr. (the normal one almost always crashes the game for me)

I don't think its a conflict between the mod and NAM - i downloaded and used the traffic model mod a while ago before I got the NAM update.

I know this isn't really a complaints thread either but I don't where else to ask - I downloaded the hole digger lot for some sunken highways - only now everytime I try to open a new city in my region the terrain is raised about 5 or 6 clicks on the 'rise/lower terrain' buttons.

Alright this is pretty much a n00b question but where do I get those streetcars/trams from;
![]() I know about STEX, but would this be under street cars or trams? And plus does this even work and decrease the commute times or help getting people around? |

Well the GLR (ground light rail) is just an extention of the Above ground light rail already in the game. It is downloaded through the June 2007 NAM available on sc4devotion.com or possibly the STEX. Included in the NAM are several traffic improvements that do help with commute times ect.
I find they do help alot getting people around, and they add quite a bit to any city. BTW the tram/bus/subway mod i'm using is the BART (bay area rapid transit) Hope that helps.

Unzip them to My Documents/SimCity4/Plugins.
Some have automatic installers so do that after. |
