Santos, Brazil. There are 97 slanted buildings in Santos!

here you can see a BEFORE and AFTER of one building in Santos. They fixed it. $800k to fix the building, which was slanted 2,1 meters.

yes, Santo´s soil is horrible, but in the 60s, these small construction companies built for profit, without much care about the ground... like if Santo´s soil was the same as São Paulo´s soil (50km away and 800 meters higher)

of course, there are about 97 slanted buildings... but Santos is a sea of buildings, so these 97 disappear among them all

more SLANTED BUILDINGS IN SANTOS yeah!

as you can see in the pics, all of those 97 buildings still exist. A few of them were straightened, but the costs were high. None has ever fallen since they started slanting after construction in the 60s

During 1960s and 1970s, Brazil was treated as the next biggest economy to attract more investors. Many people took advantage of this trend for their own greed and ridiculously started building these poor structures for huge quick profit. Finally, the bubble burst and Brazil was overloaded of debts. Unfortunately, the buildings in Santos was one of those affected for the poor implementation.
