ERBIL | Erbil Trade Mall | 150m | U/C

The mall project in Iraqi Kurdistan is under construction and some parts have already been finished.
The complex consists of a huge mall, with thousands of shops.

You can download a video of the project here: http://www.italianexpo.it/img/CommercialCenter.zip

There will be 4 skyscrapers, the tallest will be 150 meters high.

Here are some pics of it under construction

The mall has almost been finished.

And yeah, maybe your surprised to think this is in Iraq.
But it is the Kurdistan part of Iraq.

Cheers

I saw a documentary a few weeks ago on Iraqi Kurdistan and how it was booming. It's good to see Kurdistan finally gaining some autonomy, and this great development will help that along.

I think it's not Iraq.. My opinion is the situation of Kurds is simillar to Israeli - nobody loves them, nobody wants them, but they'll see what everything they can do. It's glorious and powerful nation.. better than those fanatic Iranese or Iraqi nearby..

In Czech rep., we support independent Kurdistan! (especially me ) btw nice project, nice CBS report..

Feyd-Rautha... You probably are the smartest guy in your family aren't you? Great news for Erbil, But Hewler and Suleymania are more booming,,,

Kurdistan is now a federal state within Iraq. Because we have our own army, our region is very secure and not 1 foreign soldier has died since the Iraq war began.

Feyd-Rautha:
Thanks for your support , although I understand what you mean by fanatic Iraqi and Iranese, you should not apply that to all of them.

Shayan: Hewler is the Kurdish name for Erbil, Erbil is I think the Assyrian name for the city.

Mesofius: Iraqi Kurdistan much much safer than most countries in the world -> like I said, no coalition casualties since the war began.

The center is looking better day by day

if only the rest of iraq could be as progressive

Iraq should be like GCC countrys, well devloped and lots of money and the people living to a very high standard of living good healthy safe lives

but its such a shame in the iraqi people, all the wealth from the oil and gas has been wasted and its a graveyard for 100,000s of people

i hope Iraq can get progress and make good life for citizens

Most of Kurds like to say Kurdistan to Northern Iraq.

Nice development to there . But on this photo, cemetery corrupted that building's beauty

It's kind of ridiculous to see shacks in the foreground, and literally one of the most luxurious malls in the world being built in the background. Contrast and a half.

Yeah guys, I also do not like the buildings being built next to that cemetery.
I read once that it would always be a memorial for Saddams victims.
