The minaret will be composed of 5 zone each one of them will have 5floors (i remember one of the zone will be a museum and another a research center...)
in addition to two elevators that can reach the top of the minaret (there will be an observation deck of Algiers (360°) in the top).

looks very big indeed.
Out of interest, in Algeria are there any outspoken people against this plan because of the amount of money?
Any social groups that say the money is better spent in housing or some kind of infrastructure?
or is it pretty much 100% behind the project?

Sure. The project is regularly criticized in the newspapers because of its price particularly in a context of austerity and critics saying that the money should have been used for other useful things.

But from what I know there's no much critics among the population as long as public spending in infrastructure, housing, healthcare, education... is also very important from the State.
