I drove by on the Gardiner Express around 4pm yesterday and saw lots of people out and about in CityPlace. Lots of people lying on the grass reading books, etc. A guy was standing on the canoe watching the traffic go by.
I'm so used to seeing CityPlace from behind because I'm used to coming into Toronto by train. This was my first time actually seeing in from the Gardiner Express. I hope this neighborhood become more successful than I had anticipated. |

It's up I just saw it from work. Video here -
Massive 'bridge' lifted and wedged between condo towers A massive steel and glass structure has been hauled up 30 storeys and wedged between two condominium towers at Concord Adex's CityPlace condominium development in downtown Toronto. The so-called SkyBridge — which weighs 450 tonnes is three storeys high, and 40 metres long — was hauled up overnight on Monday and attached to the two Parade condominium buildings located just west of Spadina Avenue and north of Lake Shore Boulevard West. The full story and video. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toront...lation448.html

Wow, watching the timelapse, it totally looks like the bridge hit the west tower a number of times while going up.

Hard to say from that angle. I think if it actually hit we would have seen the bridge jog round, whereas it remained quite still.

Can't wait for them to take off the CONCORD sign.

Yeah, m'thinks that'll be a while. I don't see the event space idea taking off. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the bridge becomes a sales/selection centre for Concord.

There's condo units in the skybridge as well if I'm not mistaken.

Yes i thought I read that an NBA star and some recording artist bought the units? I could be mistaken though.
