"The North East Luzon Expressway is a proposed, 6 to 4-lane, 456-kilometer, limited-access toll expressway. The construction involves 3 stages and will be the country's longest tollway when the expressway becomes fully-operational.

The first leg of the expressway will begin in Quezon City in Metro Manila and from there it will be called the "La Mesa Parkways" and will be developed by Ausphil Tollways Corporation. This will be divided into three stages:

* Stage 1 will be a 6-lane tollway beginning from Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Balara, Quezon City to La Mesa Watershed, Quezon City.
* Stage 2 will be a 6-lane tollway from La Mesa Watershed to Bicti, Norzagaray, Bulacan.

* Stage 3 will be a 6-lane tollway from Norzagaray, Bulacan up to Baliuag, Bulacan.

The entire cost of this segment is P 7.8 billion pesos ($190,243,902.44)."

Way cleared for P1.36-B Cavite road

Philippine Daily Inquirer
Ronnel W. Domingo; edited by INQUIRER.net

MANILA, Philippines--The Department of Trade and Industry said its investment arm, National Development Co. (NDC), had obtained approval of relevant agencies to construct a P1.36-billion toll road that would link the Daang-Hari road in Cavite province, south of Manila, and the South Luzon Expressway.

Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila, chairman of NDC, said the Department of Public Works and Highways had issued to the NDC a “no objection” letter and the Toll Regulatory Board had given its acknowledgement of the project.

NDC and a private entity will construct the toll road, he said.

NDC acting general manager Maria Lourdes Rebueno described the project as a four-lane, four-kilometer toll road that would link Daang-Hari in Cavite and the expressway near the Susana Heights Interchange in Muntinlupa City.

It will cut through the national penitentiary complex, she said.

The road “will decongest heavy traffic in parts of Cavite, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa, and will reduce road distance from Daang Hari to the Alabang viaduct by 3 km,” Rebueno said.

The project will also “complement the redevelopment plan” for the national penitentiary property as directed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, she added.

Wow ..what a great piece of news ..a new road that will truly benefit the public since it will connect two vital roads in the south and also comes with a package that will complement the redevelopment plan for the huge national penitentiary property. Does this mean the relocation of NBP somewhere else?

Mega Manila badly needs this road...

Mega Manila badly needs this road...
eventhough how badly we need it
and the funds are readily available

it is the red tape and all the "unnecessary" processes that
makes it impossible for the roads to be constructed

actually its already a will thing among the leaders
of DPWH and the contractors... saka lang gumagalaw
ang proyekto pag napupuna...

ugaling pinoy .. ningas cogon...

As a tax payer, I don't think I get what I pay for the government. Di naman sa makwenta, but my my monthly withholding tax is enough for me to live a descent life. Yet araw araw, kaylangan kung dumaan sa butas butas na daan, traffic is terrible and kung pupunta ako sa mga government agency, I am not being serve well.
