IMO simply having the seats and beds be a warmer color such as marroon or red would have helped a lot to make the trains look warmer/friendlier inside. Blue is too cold of a color for sleeper trains I think (It's fine for commuting I think)

The light inside is much warmer and not so bright as on these shots. Author has tuned WB to the neutral, but in fact the light is more yellow and covering looks more creamy, not so aggressive.

Usually there are two drivers in the loco, two seats in the cabin. There are exceptions of course - shunting engines and some suburban trains may have just one driver, but generally it's a team of two.

RUSSIA's prime minister Mr Dmitry Medvedev has instructed the minister of transport Mr Maxim Sokolov to remove all obstacles to allow the start of construction of the Russian section of a rail link across the Amur River to China by May 5

A joint Sino-Russian company was set up in September 2014 to oversee construction of the 2.2km rail link between Nizhneleninskoe, Russia, and Tongjiang, China, and work started in China in December 2014.

The two countries will jointly fund the project with the Chinese portion estimated to cost Yuan 2.6bn ($US 419m). Russia's share will be significantly less as its section is only 315m long

RUSSIAN Railways (RZD) began selling tickets on May 6 for its new Moscow - Nizhniy Novgorod Strizh (Swift) services, which will be launched on June 1 using RZD's new fleet of Talgo coaches and EP 20 electric locomotives

RZD will operate five daily services on the route, increasing to seven from July, using a fleet of four trains. This will enable the redeployment of Siemens Sapsan high-speed trains to the Moscow – St Petersburg line, where a regular-interval service pattern will be introduced

Yeah you are right it should be within 5$ because no one can afford this 8$ charges for such distance. We should raise the voice to reach the administration. Can we do it?

It's good to hear that four Talgo trains has begun its operations from the Kursk Railway Station in Moscow.It covers 440km on each trip between the two cities of Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod with a speed of 200km/h in in 3h and 35min.
