From Ember-to-Ashes' Spire Erection post at #178, there are three levels in the steel structure marked "level 160".

Hollie, Skytower is coming up with GPS readings from Bauduin's contact in Dubai. Your convinced this "TechE" thing is all nonsense since you did your homework. Once and for all tell us how you did this homework step by step to draw to your conclusions since we gave YOU the benefit for a few months to keep putting dubaimegaprojects down.

How high are they going to go with the concrete? 586m? For sure or an estimate? We don't know for sure until we see the actual outcome. Anybody still hold to 808m as a final height? I hope the heading for the next part of the BD thread does not include the actual 808m mark since nothing of a height figure was mentioned by Smith in Skytower's interview.

He he he he. i wait for a few days and what is see pleases me a lot.
Nice interview Sky-Tower i realy loved reaing it

Yes the 808 Meters wil be the minimum height for this thing and i would love to see it on 1011 meters in height but time will tell everything!!

The concrete stops depending on wich height it would be:
586 M for the 800 M+ and 700+ M for the 1011 M version. Something like that.

Well cheers everyone my dear Skyscraperians!!!

CORRECT. The top part of the structure will be pure steel beams and deck sheets.

From what i can tell from the picture i posted earlier... only half of the steel structure is going to be built first, then they have to crank up the spire, and then the rest of the structure will be built

so lets say we are at level 124, 440m now, concrete stops at 586m... only another 140m to go... (140/4=35) so approx 35 more floors to go? which fits in pefectly, with with 160 level figure. so there is NO NEED for speculation whatesoever, when the facts are infront of you.

35 floors x 3.5 (3.5 figure given instead of 3 to allow for short delays) = 122 days, so about 4 more months untill the concrete core is finishes.

and in 2 months we have cladding starting, so we will have 2 months worth of cladding to look at when the concrete core is finished.

Yep. Concrete hoppering to 682m... (top of spire1)
Secondary pumping from 442m (floor 124) -> 624m (floor 160)
Direct pumping (they hope... to aprox 145 (531m)

its all in the presentation...

you can see soo many things from this:

1. that the spire is 112m tall
actually the 112m is lifting height for crane.
The spire has a total length of 146m. It starts on tier20/662m and reaches 808m.

So, if they're pouring concrete all the way up to the 682m - do people think there will be usable floors between 624.1m (top of concrete and mezzanine level Tier 18) and Tier 21 then? That's what it appears to me...

see spire diagram also (see above)...

where did this image originate from exactly? it looks very odd to me, because it shows the current level we are on... and theres alt more concrete levels togo before the steel section starts,..so im confused. the heights shwon in the diagram are inconsistant... just by using my fingers i can see this, between level 124 and level 145, u can see how big the gap is, now lookin futher up a hieght change of 58m appears nearly twice as big as a heigh change of 90m ... soo .... wtf?

only good things you can see is that on that image you can clearly see that the top wall has been thinned as well as the right wall, with only the left wall section to follow.

(p.s. cheers for the correction Culwulla)
