It just passed the mechanical floors, those take a long time to be built, even for nosecones; by now it will raise at a good pace again.

The Mechanical floors are what house the heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, and plumbing equipment.

this thread recieves hundreds of posts every single day, on an average day at least 2 pages get filled, occasionally as many as 4. Please take the time to look back over the last four pages before asking a question like this. It is extremely annoying to see every new page started with the same question.

I refuse to answer that question, look over the last three pages there is more than enough information.

Great photograph posted by Fury. It's extraordinary how fast Burj Dubai has gone up once it got started. Feels like it could be finished in a year.

Good luck to Dubai..or city anywhere for that matter..it's just I can't imagine any other city in the world being able to afford so many u/constuction buildings....usually floorspace has to be presold or tied up with rental contracts before most developments can proceed....when I see all those cranes I just can't see the buildings full of people the day they open. I love the dynamic city Dubai is...and am amazed by it's growth..It's just a huge leap from the way most other cities have developed.

According to the last post I read, it's got only 130 feet to go to tie it...still think it's not possible? I guess we'll have to see in 28 days huh? I stand by my guess.

I don't see near the growth in Vegas that Dubai has in the works, but I sure wish I did. I could drive there to see it...

It's a georgeous shot, skymyhusband. To me, the most beautiful of Dubai to date. (I also like the one of dubai marina under construction in the fog... But now it comes second)

The colour is fantastic. The clarity of the skyline. Look how Rose Rotana Hotel distinguished itself from SZR skyline.

Vincent.

What a great skyline pic, a few open spots to fill but in a few years definitely the best skyline in the world. Maybe not (yet) in density but more as in the word skyLINE of skyscrapers
