It certainly is 133 floors, but the height can be different, but not much. +-2meters at max I think

This is the digital age. Why would you possibly advise someone to take fewer pictures?? It's not like he's wasting film. If we make a "video" out of these eventually, it is good to have consistent spacing between each picture. In addition, the core isn't the only thing they are working on. There are wing forms, and the cladding will soon be going up fast, so there potentially will be changes every day. Also, if you skip a few days waiting for "something to happen" and then get blocked by bad weather for a few days, suddenly there is a big gap. It CERTAINLY doesn't hurt anything to take a picture every day.

I agree completely. Everyday pics will be much better in motion than skipping even one day. Amazing that you know how to do this on the computer...can't wait to see the 'film'!

You can barely even see the skyline - it's so hazy...

At 480 meters.

Edit: I edited the chart to show the approximate progress on the wings/base. If it's wrong, let me know.

After silently following the discussions on these forums, I finally decided to register.
@Mr. Alloy:
As this diagram is great, I think the Jin Mao Tower looks better on the other diagram without the heights and progresses.

@IMRE, Joobn and all the other guys who provide us with all these great photos - I want to shout out a big thank you - please go on!

I also think it would be bette if Joobn continues to provide us with daily updates, although there will not be much progress every day - at least the weather conditions change almost daily I guess. It's sad that we don't have pictures from the beginning of the construction. Anyway this will be a great collection in the end!

I follow the construction progress every day and I am still fascinated and I hope they will go higher than 808m, although this height is already so amazingly huge. I love the design of this building unlike other competing "projects" like the Al-Burj which just looks so bad.
Furthermore it is unbelievable how many Supertalls are under construction or in planning. Only Europe is falling way behind the rest of the world. I want Supertalls in Europe, too! I am not talking about some 300m towers, but >400m!

Welcome, Cyman!

That should be about what Jin Mao looks like, but if it isn't, don't complain to me... I used the silhouettes from the SSP diagrams.

BTW I prefer this forum over SSP, but shhhh, don't tell anybody
