It doesn't. It is farther to the right than the extent of the map, though not by much.

I asked this question already some time ago, but nobody answers....

So i pop it again:
Why have they installed all kinds of mock-ups just below the level where they started to install the cladding? Is it for testing or what?

The three floors below the cladding are mechanicals (meaning they house machineries for A/C, water deposits and pumps, electrical and comunication panels and so on). Nothing what you see there is a mock-up, however more work has to be done there and at the end those floors will be covered as well, however it might not be with glass panels.

The cladding is awsome, but I hope that the placing of it will be faster than now.

Actually, they are putting it up really fast already, and in three different places.

I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about the subject, but it seems to me that they are going really slow on the cladding. Looks very simple to me. You raise a piece up there by crane and screw it in. I would think they could get a few rows done every day. Obviously I'm wrong

It always goes slow first (untill they get customised to the job) and then speeds up.

Quality control. You have to make sure it fits perfectly, that it forms a seal, that it doesn't break at all, etc.

I was wondering what's going on with these little wings sticking out of the wall. Since the flat areas going up mean floors are still going to be attached to the core, are they stopping on this side? Maybe this was discussed before and I missed it. I also love how my photobucket account now reduces resolution for high res images.
Those are the finished wings. Nothing else will be attached to them (except the facade).

Interesting. I guess it's thinning out faster than I thought. Would that be the last concrete wing until steel is used?

For some strange reason, I always thought Imre was a south asian.

So far, everything is going according to the 818 meter plan. What I find interesting is that there are still a lot of people who believe that the tower will be significantly taller than that. If that were true, I'm pretty sure we'd already see significant differences in the concrete structure.

605m to the top of the concret, so there's 121m's left or 396ft

Honestly 818 meters is good enough for me. I know there will be taller buildings in the future so it would be fun to see those grow. It's just cool that someone is finally building something that will break all height records.

No. If you notice how those little tiny wings are shaped, they join into the triangular parts that were between the wings on the lower section, and those triangular parts become the tips of new wings. So once all the real wings are done, there will still be three wings, but they will be off set from the three wings on the lower sections. A couple of setbacks will be taken off of those wings before the steel begins. I hope that's clear.
