As said before, around 10mn/panel = 6 panels/hour = 72 panels/12 hours.

Working 24/24, will need half of the time to be done

More seriously, I think it's quite feasible with many teams working simultaneously.

Plus remember they're paying the workers next to nothing and making them work long hours. Surely they can hire more workers and put panels up simultaneously.

It's not too difficult when there's little governing the welfare of the workers and the workers are willing to work like that.

yes thats conventional, bottom to top counter clockwise. what i meant is that the OLD cladding @ 21F will be removed least we will see that void between 19F and 21F until then.

Burj Al Alam is in the Dubai section in Business Bay area, sadly I don't think there's yet one in the World section.
Gorgeous picture BTW, my fave building, can't wait for it to start.

this might sound stupid, but does anyone know what color the burj dubai will be? i've seen renderings where the burj dubai is blue or black or gold or white, so which is the true color?
thanks to anyone who knows.

Just see the glass panels already installed on the tower.

The original colour is Reflective Metalic Silver but of course becouse of the reflections it might look different from some angles or in different weather conditions.

In your opinion.

Or do you have evidence to back up those figures?

That the 1st time i've seen figures for 1039m and certainly 700m of concrete. So evidence please or are you just hoping?

I remember a few months when it seemed this building would never get cladded. It nice to see even three stories worth of panels. Its getting there..

The height estimates ranges a lot through time.
In part one off this construction thread, people posted heights off 1100 M+

Cheers

NewGuy

Hey there all, I have been an obsessive reader of this forum for a mont now, completely in love with the project and the whole city aswell.

I am wery unpatient so I made an image few months from the future, just wanted to share, ofcourse the cladding will be much more progressed but there is little of it in the pic to mimic it,
p.s. go Imre

Back on topic, please. This isn't the place to discuss labor conditions in Dubai or anywhere else.

Do someone have information re. the fire fighting policy of BD? Do they have specific facilities, do they contemplate to use helicopters in case of emergency?
I guess that a fire in the last floors should be very hard to reach and to control.
