I think I would be already too late, because they will clad this area tomorrow.
Except if Imre goes to take pics tomorrow

Can anyone explain me why does this wing not progressing at least 40-50 days?!

Note other two wings; one is finished, second is under progress.

Everything seems to be coming along nicely. But keep in mind that when Burj Dubai surpasses T101. BD won't take over yet as the WTB. Only when BD is topped out will that happen.

You can tell me I'm crazy, but this tower will have more then 162 floors, perhaps between 180-200. Probably 160 concrete floors, and 20-40 steel floors.

I know it's mechanical floor, but that part of construction is standing without progress too much time...

That happened on the wings on the last mechanical floors too, with a delay of at least as long on each of the prior ones. That's just the way it goes.

I am no professional, but I have your answer anyway. This building will not have a tuned mass damper pendulum.

OK, I've got two questions
1) it looks really huge! do they really need so much office space and apartments in Dubai? It's not NY

2) i saw once in Discovery, how they built Turning Torso. They had big problems to transport the concrete to the top. How is it possible here, BD is triple so big as TT

thx for the answer

1. Yes. There are plenty of people on this forum, mostly from NY or Chicago, who say there is no demand and these buildings should not be built, but the fact is that Dubai is growing very fast and needs lots of infrastructure to sustain this growth.

2. The developers of this building put research into advances in pump technology as well as concrete additives to make it gum up and set slower, allowing them to pump higher than ever before. Also, the structure will not be concrete all the way to the top.

But come on, 2 months? I don't remember the mechanical floors in the core taking that long. I think it took a couple of weeks.

Last time it took so long that Skytower told us they had changed the design.

but they cant build into the next wing eventhough they want to extend it.

the other wing (larger one) also took a shitload of time to wake up and overtake the mech floors dunno why such amount of time to make 1 floor...
